This gangster drama based on ‘true events’ revolving around Frank Sheeran is filled with mystery and suspense. Recalling his life after post world war 2, it is portrayed how he started his life as a delivery truck driver and later on turned into underworld contract killer (or as he calls it “painting houses”) when the company he worked for sued him for theft of their property. Directed by Martin Scorsese this movie has been nominated for 10 Oscars. Robert De Niro’s (Frank Sheeran) performance was excellent in years. Being a bit slow, this movie might not be for everyone. But if you love some thrill, drama and suspense it is worth watching.
2. El Camino
This movie is for those who have watched ‘The Breaking Bad’ series and it acts as a sequel to the events of series. It was the perfect epilogue to the series and completed Jesse’s story in a satisfying way and was full of suspense and really puts Jesse in a similar situation as Walt, where he had to do whatever it took to get what he needed. It’s the closure the audience could only desire and more than a tribute to the series. Of course, we can’t expect it to be as good as the series, but it is still good.
A science fiction that tends to not comply over simple movie plots but narrates the story of a mid-teenager who happens to be the owner of a Super pig for 10 years but later discovers that the pig was being away from her for some undisclosed reason. It shows how selfish and heartless humans can be just to satisfy their own needs. This movie has some amazing direction and acting. Being Ahn Seo Hung’s debut film, she was impressive, and Jake Gyllenhaal’s lunatic-type character perfectly contrasted and complemented her character.

Who doesn’t enjoy an animated movie? Well, this movie is an animated comedy that one can definitely enjoy with their family. It is the story of an outcast boy ‘Flint Lockwood’ who loves inventing things and was always encouraged by his mother. Years after, when his mother died, he invented the machine that can produce food by converting it from water. It is a light-hearted movie which was released 11 years ago but if you haven’t watched it yet, you must watch this silly comedy.

Released in the year 2020, this movie is the story of four African-American Vets- Paul, Otis, Eddie and Melvin who return to Vietnam in search of the remainder of their fallen squad leader and the gold fortune he helped them hide. It showed that the land has changed in the ensuing decades, with American culture finding its complacent commercial footing, but then the men have also changed. It is less about the CGI and more about the heart-warming connection between Elliot and E.T. A relaxing entertainer movie to be watched with family.

This movie is the story of a 17 years old teenager who accidentally travels back in time in a DeLorean time machine. He ends up in 1955 and unwilling happens to change the past which can lead to removing his own existence in reality. Now he must somehow make his parents’ past selves to meet. The scientist, Dr Brown, and Marty the teenager had amazing chemistry. All the cast were chosen perfectly. So, if you are into some sci-fi adventure movies, this movie is an easy pick.

Ever since Jack was born, his mother ‘Ma’ has never let him out in the real world but kept him confined inside the room. This was because of Ma’s anxiousness due to the trauma she went through when she was a teen and was abducted and locked away. This movie shows how Par Jr. starts living his life again finding those ‘Silver linings’ in his life. He desires to get his old job as a substitute teacher back and to reunite with Nikki.
